So, what is this 202LONDON malarkey, I hear you asking.
Let me give you an introduction.
202LONDON is a part of the Experience Technology module at Hyper Island. Experience Technology, or ET for short, is aiming to give us students a better understanding of the more technical aspects of the digital media, and to really get to grips with the tech and its possibilities. It’s learning by doing, the Hyper way.
We students have formed groups of five or six, and we have then been assigned different components – such as Phidgets, Wiimotes, webcams, Audrino, etc – and our goal is to make something creative and innovative using these technologies. It is a project spanning four weeks, culminating in an exhibition in Stockholm 23rd to 24th of October. The best projects from the Stockholm exhibition get to go to London for an additional exhibition.
But what exactly is 202LONDON?
202LONDON is the work name we’ve decided to give our project. It’s not very complicated actually. We are group 20, and our goal is to be one of the groups who get to go to London = 20 to London. By setting our goals as high as possible, we will motivate each other to do our absolute possible best, it’s as simple as that!
The technology that we’ve been assigned is a Phidget interface kit, and we’re right now in the process of figuring out what possibilities it provides. Be prepared to be amazed!
